for educators brings together practical insight
into mathematical knowledge and skills for Foundation Phase and Intermediate Phase
student teachers and all primary school teachers, as well as those not teaching
mathematics as a subject. Written in a clear style and amply illustrated, the
book is a comprehensive yet user-friendly guide to mathematics content with a
South African focus, informed by problem solving as theoretical framework. The
book aims to raise standards of education in primary schools in South Africa
and will be an invaluable tool and reference work.
Mariana Naudé is the co-editor of various textbooks published by Van Schaik Publishers, including Teaching Foundation Phase Mathematics: a guide for South African students and teachers, Teaching life skills in the Foundation Phase and Teaching life skills in the Intermediate Phase.
